Meet the Authors

Jason Swihart
Jason is principal in interactive development and consulting practice and formerly Director of Interactive at Colorado Ski Country USA, where he pioneered one of the ski industry's first business blogs, Club Colorado. He's been a ski enthusiast since 1974, when he started skiing in Aspen, CO at age 4.

Jason's all-mountain skis are a set of 05/06 164 cm Salomon 1080 Foils. When forced to do so, he skis hard pack and ice on a set of 04/05 178 cm Dynastar Skicross 9s. He's considering a set of Atomic Big Daddys for cruising groomers.

Jason lives in Denver with his neurotic dog, Bailey. When not working on interactive projects for companies like NASA, Boeing, and Intel, he travels the world and skis Colorado's mountains.

DL Byron
Byron is the Principal of Textura Design Inc, a blogger, founder of Bike Hugger, and author of Publish & Prosper: Blogging for Your Business, a New Riders book. He's been a cycling enthusiast, masters racer, and occasional tourist since 1994, when he started mountain biking the desert in Eastern Washington. Byron covers the snowshoe beatfor Snow Hugger.

Byron lives in Seattle with his wife Pam, two children, and a pug named Cap’n. When he is not blogging, authoring, and evangelizing cycling, he races his bicycle with the Union Bay Cycling Club.
